About Yot Club:

SIMPLETON, the third album from multi-platinum indie-rock singer-songwriter YOT CLUB, dismantles the utopian image of the American suburbs, framing manicured, picture-perfect life as a mirage. Across 13 tracks, the album explores how curated feeds and predictable routines can blur—or even erase—empathy and responsibility, creating a world where difficult questions and harsh realities are easy to ignore.

YOT CLUB began in 2019 when Ryan Kaiser started recording music in his college dorm, shaping a lo-fi, effortlessly cool indie-rock sound wrapped in a dreamlike haze. Two years later, his breakout single “YKWIM?” went viral on TikTok and has since been streamed more than one billion times, launching Kaiser onto international stages at festivals including Treefort, Kilby Block Party, and Pitchfork Paris.

As Kaiser’s personal geography has shifted—from Nashville to New York, Philadelphia, and now Los Angeles—the suburban lens he grew up with continues to shape his songwriting. What once felt like background scenery has taken on deeper meaning as his understanding of the world and his place within it has evolved. That growth in perspective is embedded throughout SIMPLETON, marking a new chapter in his writing.

Now writing with greater intention, Kaiser approaches his music with a sense of purpose and nuance, embracing the idea that every song should carry weight. The result is an album that balances introspection with sharp cultural observation, capturing both the comfort and the quiet unease of modern life.
